Relieve Back Pain

Here are three great tips for relieving back pain.

1. Do cardio regularly.  Run, walk, climb stairs or anything that causes your blood pressure to rise.

2. Push, Don't Pull.  If you need to move something, push it instead of pulling.  Place your hands below your chest when you are pushing heavy things.

3. Wear low heel or flat shoes.  Low heel or flat shoes make you more stable which relaxes the back muscles.

  1. When you have back pain, sleeping can be hard. It can be a vicious cycle because when you don't get enough sleep, your back pain may feel worse. A poor sleep position can also aggravate back pain. Try lying on your side. Place a pillow between your knees to keep your spine in a neutral position and relieve strain on your back.

  3. Thanks Alfred and Lilly for visiting my website! I am glad you enjoy it! I love finding tips to make life easier and my website is the place I collect all the tidbits of information that I find!

Alfred, during my pregnancies, I could not sleep comfortably during my third trimesters. The only thing that worked was your suggestion of sleeping on my side with a pillow between the knees. It was the only way I could find comfort and get any sleep!

  4. Nice suggestions. I would like to add yoga and massage which are also good for back pain problems.

  5. I have tried yoga before. Even when I was working at a Full-time, sitting job, I never had back problems and I have yoga to thank for that! I used to do yoga twice a week, even during pregnancy. It always helped to relieve pain in my back!
