How to Descale A Keurig

To descale a Keurig coffee maker:

1. Empty the water reservoir.

2. Fill the water reservoir halfway with distilled white vinegar.

3. Let it sit for a half an hour to an hour.

4. Turn your Keurig on and let it run its course until there is no more vinegar left.

5. Rinse the water reservoir out to remove left over vinegar.

6. Fill the water reservoir with water and let it run until there is no water left.

7.  Repeat Step 6 three or four times to remove the vinegar.

8. Taste the water to see if the vinegar taste is gone.  Trust me, I skipped this step one time.  The next morning, I made a cup of coffee and it tasted like I was drinking hot vinegar with a  little coffee mixed in.  Yuck!

9.  If you can still taste vinegar in the water, repeat Step 6 until there is no vinegar taste left.

10.  Once the vinegar taste is gone, you can run your machine like normal!
